the vessel, it triggered an explosion. another boater who watched the rescue says fire is one of the biggest dangers aboard a motor boat. >> the smoke is very toxic. because you have resins, fiberglass, you have chemicals and you have wood you have fuels. a lot of things that burn. carpeting. so there really -- boats can be quite volatile. >> one person was taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. the three others were not hurt. a developing story in pittsburgh right now. a man hunt is underway for the suspect who tried to kidnap a 2- year-old girl from her front yard. this search is centered on an area near the girl's home on snow flake way. police have been canvassing the neighborhood since yesterday afternoon. police say just before 2:00, a man grabbed the toddler as her mother watched her play and he then started running. he dropped the toddler into some bushes after the mother yelled after him. long time residents say this is

a first for the neighborhood. >> i wouldn't say it's something that we certainly hasn't happened here before. and you know we lived here -- we've lived here since the development was built so yeah very unusual occurrence. >> investigators say the girl is traumatized but otherwise unharmed and police just released this sketch of the suspect. he is in his 30s and he is described as clean shaven, with collar length dirty blond hair. he was wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. other bay area headlines, oakland police are looking for a suspect in a triple shooting. one person was killed and two were injured near children's hospital last night. witnesses say they heard up to 20 gunshots. one of the injured victims is in critical condition. it happened just a block from where a mother was shot and killed wednesday in front of her 4-year-old son. last night, shootings is the 32nd homicide in the city. and police in belmont are looking for a bank robbery suspect. investigators say this man held up a still bank on the avenue

just before 6:00 last night. the suspect is described as thin and light skinned, wearing a ski mask. black jacket, and dark jeans. well, there has been an arrest in the case involving poisoned letters sent to president obama, a u.s. senator and a mississippi judge. as cbs reporter ines ferre reports i would comes just after charges were dropped against another man. >> reporter: the fbi arrested james everett dutschke at his home in mississippi overnight. hours after this photo was taken. agents searched his house and the studio he owned this week. as part of the investigation into ricin tainted letters sent to president p and other officials. -- obama and other officials. during that search the 41-year- old denied having anything to do with the poisoned letters. >> this is just crazy. this is just insane. >> reporter: the letters which tested positive for ricin were september to the president and -- sent to the president and senator wicker of mississippi.

a tainted letter was also sent to an 80-year-old mississippi judge whose family dutschke has clashed with in the past. charges were initially filed against an elvis impersonator named curtis but were dropped tuesday. >> i would like to move on with me life and find out what normal is again. >> reporter: curtis claims he had been framed and blamed dutschke. the fbi would not say what they found but dutschke is charged with developing, producing and possessing a biological agent or toxin for use as a weapon. he faces life in prison if convicted. ines ferre for cbs news, new york. the fbi has wrapped up its search on a landfill related to the boston marathon bombing. it is near the university of massachusetts dartmouth where the suspect dzhokhar tsarnaev was a student. the investigator won't say if they recovered anything. meantime, we're learning the suspects' mother was added to a federal terrorism data base

an eight year old boy. hit in the chest little league officials in sonoma county are buying defib raylators. the boy was hit in the chest by a pitch during a game in roanoke park two weeks ago. the blow disrupted his heartbeat and he collapsed. fortunately two paramedics were able to revive him and the defibrillator shocked his heart back the normal rhythm. little leagues are buying their own machines in several cities. authorities in several communities are taking drugs off the streets one old prescription at a time. law enforcement agencies in martinez, concord, nava doe and santa clara all took part in national prescription drug takeback day. they could drop off the old or unwanted prescription drugs and organizers say the martinez event collected roughly more than 10,000 pills in addition
